Error number: 0x8024502D but not using proxy.

I was wondering if you could help resolve my Windows Update problem, (XP Pro,
SP2). I get Error number: 0x8024502D but I'm not using a proxy and I've
turned off my Zonealarm software firewall and all spyware pgms. I'm
connected to a hardware firewall which is connected to a cable modem. I
believe WU worked until last week when I installed the MS Anti-Spyware Beta.
I've tried to roll back to a previous Restore point to no avail. I've also
removed the WU files from my system32 sub-dir. WU updates them again but I
still get the same error msg. Below is what shows up from the WU log file.
