Error: OxC80003FA and other messages

I am getting error messages every time that I try to do a Windows Update.
Is there a problem with the server or is it local? I am also noting that
there were a lot of different things that my computer "found" that seemed
odd. Is it just me?

Here is the message I get:

[Error number: 0x8024000E]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

In most cases, these messages are temporary or short-lived issues that are
caused by very slight interruptions in communications between the computer
that is being updated and the Windows update servers. These issues are
generally self-healing. So, before you try the troubleshooting methods in
this article, please exit the Windows Update site, wait 10 to 15 minutes,
start Windows Update again, and then check for updates. You can also let
Windows Automatic Update install the updates on its usual 24-hour cycle.

Do a manual visit to Windows Update with Internet Explorer.
[ Start > Windows Update or open IE, click Tools, Windows Update ]
When the installations fail, close IE.

Now go to Start > Run > type in

%windir%\windowsupdate.log

Click OK or press Enter
Copy and paste the last 60 or so lines into your reply and hopefully,
we'll see what the issue is.

in the update's XML data.

Does this issue concern one specific update or all updates, Bill?
What is the antivirus/security suite installed and is a 3rd party
fiewall being used ?
