Hi

If you start regedit.exe (Start/Run) and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate

do you find the value "DoNotAllowXPSP2"=dword:00000001 there?

I saw the issue below and the same goes for me. The "windowsupdate" is not
present at my registry.

Hi

No, it is not important to have that registry key present. Looking at
some other posts, it looks like this 0x80244010 error might be a
Prescott CPU issue (at least for some people).
