Error Starting Up Streets & Trips 2008

I get the following message on starting Microsoft Streets & Trips 2008 "Your
registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. To correct
these settings, run setup again for this application from the location where
you originally installed it." Tried that a number of times with no success.
I even uninstalled the program and reinstalled it with no success. Can
someone help?

Try installing in clean boot mode. See:

Something is blocking the registry writes required at the end of an
installation. Possibly an anti-virus app. Clean boot will disable all but
the MS software.
