error trying to download mail from server - can anyone help?

about 75% of the time when I click "sync" in Windows Live Mail I get the
following error
An unknown error has occurred.

Server: 'pop.freeserve.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0B
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No"

I then get the input user and password screen but it still does not connect.
I usually end up disconnecting from broadband and then reconnecting several
times before I get a successful download. This has only started since
downloading the latest version 14.0.8050.1202 of Live Mail!

Hi,

That error code usually means the server is not available or not responding
to the request. Not much you can do on your side except check that you have
the server name correct.
