Rich - after having that trouble trying to load SP1, I finally cancelled the
update when it gave me the error message and said that if I clicked OK it
would put everything back to normal. Well now System Restore doesn't work.
It gives me the message to reboot and try again. I wasn't finished loading
all of my software and I am not sure what to do now. Do you think I should
go ahead and load SP2? I have some old software that is critical for me that
I am afraid will have problems w/ SP2 - Office 2000, Word Perfect 2000,
Outlook 2000, Quicken 2000, Encylop. Britanna 2002. My kids have some games
they want to play SIMS - the newest version. I had trouble with the PC after
loading SP2 originally so I thought it was the problem..... started not
being able to share printers, then sound card wouldn't work, then system
restore quit working so I reloaded windows because I thought some of my
hardware/software might have issues w/ SP2..
Your help is appreciated.
