Error when trying to update Windows 2003

Hi

Trying to update some of my Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2/R2 servers.

Been trying this for the past 2 days and still no luck. Have done alot of
research and cant find any answers.

The server has direct access to the internet.

It turns out our upstream providers DNS was poisoned which in turned poisoned
the DNS cache of our DC's.

Certain MS websites and service like yahoo where being redirected to a
different url. Although only part of the MS update URL's where being redirect
hence why it was failing when intialising the active-x control.

Very weird!
