error update 800F081F windows vista home premium 32bit

since 6/18/2007 I try to update my windows(windows vista home premium 32bit)
but i'm getting error msg 800F081F. please advice.

Just bought a brand new Gateway MT6456 Laptop , came with Windows Vista 32
bit Home Premium. used for a week and windows update is broken. error code is
800F081F.... anyone know who to call or where to go?...

I also have this problem since 6/18/2007. Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit.
From the details in view update history this was attempting to apply update
"Windows Update software 7.0.6000.374"

I have exactly the same problem. I´m using the Danish Windows Vista Ultimate
32bit. When i´m trying to install the new Update software 7.0.6000.374

Let´s hope someone can find the problem??

I have a case logged with Microsoft. When I get a fix from them I will post
to the board

Thanks to Jim J who posted in this forum. I used his fix:
follow the instructions in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932494/en-us
donwload the appropriate Windows Update V3 Install
and install it.
This fixed my 800F081F error message
I have now downloaded all the updates I was missing since Jun 18.

What is the appropiate Windows update V3? I went to the site and I don't
know which one of them to download.
