So there is a Chinese calendar in your web-based identity - but
not in WLMail. That is very strange, particularly if you did not
create the Chinese calendar yourself.
Is there any possibility that the Live server could have recorded
an incorrect (Chinese) location against your Live ID? And are
you using an English language version of your operating system
(Windows or Vista)?
I really am guessing here, and there are no guarantees that any
of the following suggestions will work. However, inability to
synchronize the local and web-based calendars can be caused by a
mismatch between the calendar names.
Firstly, use your browser to sign into your identity at
login.live.com. Check the registered information (particularly
your location) and make sure the details are correct. Then, sign
out from your identity at live.com.
Next, sign into your web-based calendar at calendar.live.com -
and check that the Language and Time Zone on the web-based
calendar are correct. Also, inspect the content of the "Chinese"
calendar. If the Chinese calendar includes entries you need to
keep, move them to a different calendar. Then, try to delete the
Chinese calendar from the web interface - and sign out from the
web.
Finally, check that your local computer has the correct regional
settings (in Control Panel and also in WLMail). Reboot. Open
WLMail and try to synchronize the calendars again.
