I try to send a message but some how an error appears indicating something
with the server. I have no idea what to do. Would like for my emails to be
sent instead of just appearing in my outbox.

this is what i get

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account:
'pop.campbellenterprises.com', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

what the heck ???

Comcast made some changes in their email settings without telling
their customers. Follow these steps, beginning with step 10:
http://www.comcast.com/Customers/FAQ...s.ashx?Id=2288

In particular, note that the SMTP server uses port 587 rather than 25.

Right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without that complete error message.
