with Microsoft working to fix this error and this was the final solutio

Save the above mentioned file on the desktop. Right click on the file

Note: - Incorrect changes in the registry might lead to data loss or
you might need to format and reinstall operating system.
Click on Start -> and then press windows logo key on the keyboard + R
which will open Run box, type regedit and tap enter key.
Take the backup of the registry first. Select File and then select
Export from the menu. Save the file name as regbackp and save it to
separate location.
Delete the following keys from the registry

Reboot the system if required and then try to update windows.
