When I open Photo Gallery I receive message that there is an update for this
program. But I can't update because there comes a little screen with the
error message xvidcore.dll not found.
I can't close this screen because it comes back everytime. And I can't
update Photo Gallery or Live Photo Gallery.
Who can help this Dutchman??

Some Windows Vista functions may not work, or Windows Vista may stop

No, xvidcore.dll is not part of Windows.

It's a version of DiVX (spelt backwards).

The OP must have some movie file that Photo Gallery cannot make a thumbnail
of, as the XViD codec is not installed.

He needs to install the codecs. Some people have a problem with codec
packs, as they think they contain viruses. I think they are fine if you get
ones from a trusted source.

Here's just that codec though:

Well mark, the error message doesn't anymore. That's great!!
But the program says that there are updates. I say OK get them. But than I
see a page stating:
The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed,
or is temporarily unavailable.
