I use AVG free editon; spyware blaster; windows firewall.
I have recently added more memory (went from 2 x 512 Mb to 4 x 1 Gb; dual
channel.)

I keep getting errorcode 0x8024402F when I try to download. The failed
downloads haver errorcode: 80246002.

I cleaned using CCleaner, I did a checkdisk, I defragmented, I tried with
the firewall de-activated. Nothing works. Below are the 50 last lines of my

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) when
posting to this newsgroup.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you perform a new Windows XP
installation or you repair a Windows XP installation

Try the steps here first: You receive a "0x80246002" error code when
you use the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates
