Errors 0x66A and 0x643

I have tried numerous times to install the updates for Microsoft New Frame
work version 2.0 (KB928365) & Microsoft Net Framework 1.1 - Service pack 1
These are the updates that show up daily in the automatic update shield and
downloads are there, they just won't install. For the Framework Version 2 the
installation error code is 0x66A; for Framework 1.1 the installation error
code is 0x643. Help, I can't run a lot of programs I need for work due to
these not installing. So when I try to run a whole different program I get
the error code must have framework net installed to run. I have a project to
turn in on Wednesday, and if I can't get this fixed I am going to have one
heck of a problem

I am having the very same problem with 0x643, I've been trying to install SP1
for about 4 months now and it always fails. Microsoft hasn't given me any
help or alternate downloads or anything. The guy they gave me online said I
should reinstall Vista! -.-; Hope they help you more than they did me

I've got a similar problem. I never could get net 3.0 to install and would
get that Ox66A error so I just skipped that a while back.

I suspect that's what's screwing tp my installation of SP3,

How about it Microsoft.? What's wrong with the net 3,0 update that's
causing problems for some of us and how can that be FIXED????
