Hello,

We are getting some errors in the event logs on our file share servers
for our clients. The configuration is as followed: 2 Server 2000 machines,
running a cluster and client file shares. We did have Exchange 2000 installed
but we migrated to Exchange 2007. We uninstalled Exchange 2000 as well. Now
we keep having these errors show up in the even logs. Here are the errors:

Time: 8:59:24 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DC-EXCH-001
Description:
The Windows Management Instrumentation service terminated unexpectedly. It
has done this 22 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in
60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

3)Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10010
Date: 6/10/2009
Time: 8:59:55 AM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Description:
The server {8BC3F05E-D86B-11D0-A075-00C04FB68820} did not register with DCOM
within the required timeout.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shaun

1) these groups are not supported by Microsoft but by your peers on a voluntary
basis
2) More importantly this group has nothing to do with Exchange, WMI or DCOM, it
is for DFS.
