Thanks fro feedback.
I had previously read and followed this hence conclusion that firewall
issue. I'd done as suggested; disabled the former (Panda) and enabled the
latter (Windows) which resolved the problem. However, considering I'm using
the same piece of software with same OS but on a laptop as opposed to a
desktop I don't think the issue is with Panda. The desktop has been running
for for a good few years with no update issue. I'm at a loss as to undertand
why the laptop won't
I've reformatted and reloaded XP (Pro+SP2), Driver to enable networking
(other drivers yet to be loaded), and Panda IS v7 (as used on desktop). I
still have the same issue of error 0x80072EE2. NOTE: Update issue is with
Manual update. Having proved that I still have problem with this "minium"
config, I've turned on automatic updates.............updates being downloaded
!!!!????!!!!. Auto works, manual doesn't - very confusing. Any further
ideas that might help????
