Ethical Question

OK, here's the question I'm not sure if it's ethical or not.

I have another thread about my intentions to rebuild my SBS 2003 server, we
purchased the Premium package and licenses, but never loaded SQl or ISA so we
run as "standard". I have a CD from my Action Pack subscription for SBS 2003
R2, and as I understand it the R2 is simply addons to SBS 2003.

Can I use my original SBS 2003 Premium install media and licenses, and then
run the R2 addons on my system or will that violate licensing?

I got nowhere trying the internet on this one.....

Legal really. No, R2, even SBS R2, is a licensed upgrade from RTM.

"No, R2, even SBS R2, is a licensed upgrade from RTM."

You lost me? SBS's r2 is an upgrade on top of RTM.

Action pack is an ITpro offering. If your firm is legal to run it, then
you are legal to install SBS 2003 r2 disk over the top of SBS 2003.

Thanks,
I have legal copies of both and I know my CALS will work on either, just
figured Id keep the same key on that server but add the R@ features, mostly
the integrated WSUS.

Thanks Susan!
