i have a lot of these "errors" in windows "event viewer":

Failed auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence number from:
<http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootseq.txt>
with error: This network connection does not exist.

one similar error (in "event viewer") is this:

Failed auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence number from:
<http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootseq.txt>
with error: This operation returned because the timeout period expired.

in "event viewer" it says the "source" is "crypt32"

these are dated 1/12/07 and i guess that they occured when i was updating
windows at the windows updates website ("microsoft updates")..
