Every hour I get these two events, 700 and 701 in my Application Log. I
would like to prevent Windows Live Messenger from entering Event ID 700 and
701 into the Application Log; or somehow suppress Live Messenger from
entering these events. How do I do that?

These are the events:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: ESENT
Event Category: Online Defragmentation
Event ID: 700
Date: 8/29/2007
Time: 8:00:09 AM
User: N/A
Computer: NUACTWS-66001
Description:
msnmsgr (3604) Online defragmentation is beginning a full pass on database
'\\.\C:\Documents and Settings\joseph\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Messenger\joseph@address\SharingMet adata\Working\database_DE04_722A_472_635\dfsr.db'.

Event Type: Information
Event Source: ESENT
Event Category: Online Defragmentation
Event ID: 701
Date: 8/29/2007
Time: 8:00:09 AM
User: N/A
Computer: NUACTWS-66001
Description:
msnmsgr (3604) Online defragmentation has completed a full pass on database
'\\.\C:\Documents and Settings\joseph\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Messenger\joseph@address\SharingMet adata\Working\database_DE04_722A_472_635\dfsr.db'.

Joseph

Greetings Joseph,

It's been ages since I played with this and I admit I've forgotten the details of what
exactly I tried, but I haven't been able to stop these. They'll even happen if you have the
Shared Folders feature (which is what this is for) completely disabled if I recall.

They are rather annoying.

I, too, had these pesky messages appearing every hour on the hour. I managed to remove them (immediately) by turning off the "Sharing Folders" option in Windows Live Messenger.

OS = Windows XP Pro
Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0178.00
