In Control Panel > Widows Update, when you click on View Update History, is
Update for Windows Mail Junk E-mail Filter [September 2007] (KB905866)
listed? Is the Installation status Successful?

Hi dean-dean, I just noticed in update history that same KB905866 was
downloaded 27-08-07, Would this be normal to have ths same update twice?

Yes, I think that update pretty much comes out once a month or so, but it
always has the same KB number (KB905866), because it's an update to the
definition files for spam filtering in Windows Mail. You may see the number
over and over in your update history, much like the definition file updates
for Windows Defender (KB915597). If you sort the columns by Name, in the
Update History window, you will see them all grouped together.

I don't think you have cause for concern as to what's reported in the Event
Viewer logs, as long as Windows Update says the installation was successful.
For example, you may see an "error" indicating the Update can't be installed
until a reboot is performed. This really isn't an error as such, and it
works itself out once the computer is restarted...

So, no, you don't need to re-install anything. There's nothing more you
need to do. Besides, Windows Update would have offered you the update
again, if the update had failed.

Are you able to install the update using the standalone installer? It's
found here:
