| After waiting on the update page for it to check that I am running the
| latest update version, I eventually get this error 0x8DDD0004
| "[Error number: 0x8DDD0004]

| a.. Refresh the page.
| b.. In Internet Explorer, delete your Temporary Internet Files by going to
| the Tools menu and clicking Internet Options.
| c.. Close and then re-open Internet Explorer.
| Internet Explorer (Add-ons Disabled) mode only prevents the use of ActiveX

| I have tried all the obvious...
| I suspect that this may be to do with activeX, maybe a corrupted activeX
| file
| auto-update appears to work, I can also manually update, I am running IE7,
| its just the windows update site/page causing me grief
| Can anyone confirm or help with a little advice please....
