Every Time I Log on WLM 8.1 Asks Me to Re-add Deleted Contacts

I have seen your posts here and in other places and you seem like THE source
for WLM information. I hope you can help me. WLM Support has been
useless....

I have a problem with WLM 8.1. As many times as I delete certain contacts
from WLM or the Hotmail CONTACTS tab, I am told they want to add me every
time I log in to WLM. Interestingly enough, this even happens in
webmessenger. If I try to delete them in webmessenger I am told that my list
is full - even though I am trying to delete. This is important because I
know I have too many contacts. There are over 900 and yet the system won't
let me delete certain ones.

If I use a third party chat client, I am also asked to re-add the people.
Regardless if I choose to add or delete them, I am told I cannot do either.
I have even tried adding them all and then redeleting them later - no luck.
Has anybody else experienced this huge annoyance? Can you imagine getting 30
or more "Add buddy" requests every time you log on?

This morning I checked with my WLHotmail and went to the contacts. They
were not there, yet when I signed out and logged in to WLM, they all came
back as new add requests. I'm beginning to think this is a server-side
issue.

I am using Win XP and following suggestions I saw on other posts I have
cleaned the contact folders, deleted registry keys, told WLM NOT to store my
conacts locally, reinstalled WLM 8.1, etc. - and nothing changes. Any ideas?
