Everything's enabled, but still nothing!!

Hi,

I've enabled Automatic Updates, BITS, and Event Log, but Windows Update
still says I need to enable them, and won't let me update. I'm running Win XP
Pro, and I've triple-checked to make sure they're enabled, and automatically
enable on each reboot. What's the deal??
