Excel 2003 Margins in Vista

Hello all,

I have just purchased a new laptop with Vista Business on the machine. I
loaded my Office 2003 Pro, and it has been running Ok for the most part.

My difficulty lies in formatting an Excel worksheet for printing. Everytime
I try to adjust the page breaks, an error message pops up "Margins do not fit
page size." It then actually turns every cell into its own page. This
annoyance turns some worksheets into 5,000 page documents. It's absurd.

I searched through past posts and found a woman with the exact same problem.
Unfortunately, the only solution anybody posted was to switch to an open
source software program. While I would love to do so, it's not quite
realistic yet.

I have run the compatibility wizard every different way, and nothing changes.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

You should repost in an Office or Excel group, this group is for Vista.

Why is that? It would take about ten minutes to download and try
OpenOffice.org - you can then try it to see if it works for you.

But he has already invested in Office 2003, why bother to waste the time to
download and learn something different?

1) it does not work.
2) nothing to learn - if you can use one, you can use the other.
3) waste 15 minutes? Instead of beating your brains out on an intractable
problem?

Well, the problem was being caused by my printer. There is not a Vista
driver available yet. Great.

I will try the open source software, but I doubt it will be sufficient for
my needs.
