exceptions

does anybody else have an exceptions tab that has all the great optionsfor
things you want to let through the firewall like the screen shot on the sp2
page? I have 4 options. I need to add messenger so I can leave the firewall
on doing gaming (voice chat). the screen shot shows messenger in the list
but I don't have it and when I try to add msn or windows messenger it says
that it can't add it the the exceptions list!!! anyone else having this
problem? anyone have a fix?

Oddly enough there are two Messengers.. There is the Microsft Messenger(4.7 I
think) that is Built into XP and then there is MSN Messenger 6.2.... Do you
have the latest versions of MSN Messenger or are you running the 4.7 version
that is stock with XP?.... Just trying to nerrow the problem down

I did mention that I tried both messengers, msn and windows. My MSN
messenger is 6.2.

well I don't have the problem after a format and a reinstall.
