I have sbs 2003 setup. But I trid to setup active sync for windows mobile it
brings the page back for user name and password no matter what I do. Is there
any way I can check the active sync setting such as domain name, server name
in sbs 2003 so I know the settings I am using are correct. I use
mail.domainname.com/xchange to check web mail. but for active sync I tried
with mail.domainname.com and also with mail.domainname/exchange nothing
works. It sems like it connects but does not take credntial. The user name is
first name.lastname. Any help will be really appriciated. I have a comcast
modem with built in router and then I have netgear router all ports are
opened in teh router by sbs 2003 via upnp enabled and I open port in comcast
modem manually. Everything works web outlook works vpn works but some how I
cannot get active sync to connect. We are using smart host for sending email
since we do not have a static IP address and also using dyn dns for incoming
mail to give static ip. Please help.

Start here and confirm that you completed every step listed:

http://sbs.seandaniel.com/2004/12/co...-sbs-2003.html

This is an older document, but Sean is a member of the SBS dev team. One
caveat, check to make sure you are running the latest version of MS
Activesync. Sean's document refers to an older version.

You may need to re-run the CEICW and verify OMA is checked.

If you still have issues, post back and we can check further.
