Exchange ActiveSync: No data in selected inbox folders after "successfully" syncing

Hello

I've configured an ActiveSync based Exchange-Server 2003 synchronization
(SSL encrypted) for my PDA Dell X3i (Windows Mobile 2003).
While syncing the sync progress bar indicates that syncronization is working
properly and it finishes without any error message.
But there is not one inbox-folder containing any data only the subfolders
are marked for sync with red arrows.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your support in advance.

Best regards
