Usually my Pocket PC phone edition is off (screen off) in my pocket. When an
email arrives in my Exchange box, Exchnage up-to-date sends out the email to
notify my device. This gets sent as an SMS to my phone.
My Pocket PC wakes up and turns on. Almost immediately, ActiveSync tries to
connect. But here is the problem... at this moment, the WLAN isn't net
connected. It can take several seconds, or up to a minute, for the WLAN to
get fully going, find my WiFi network, and establish the connection. Only
when this happens completely, will ActiveSync succeed.
So, usually, ActiveSync just fails. A few minutes go by, then my device
goes back to sleep. All of this happens in my pocket and I never know about
it. And I therefore don't get my new emails.
I have heard that there may be a way to have a delay or wait time before
ActiveSync starts the sync. Or, there may be a way to configure the Exchange
server to send out a second up-to-date message a few moments later as well.
if I could get this to go out 120 seconds later, it would work great.
Alternatively, ActiveSync should wait until the connection is established,
THEN do the sync.
Anyway to fix this?
