Does anyone have experience of a signature manager for Exchange on SBS?
I have a client that has requested central signature control and I see
three or four viable products to trial - anyone have any experience or
recommendation of this type of thing?

Thx.

I'm not sure about the other Exchange specific antivirus products, but most
of my customers use McAfee Groupshield for Exchange. It has a feature to
create a global signature attached to all outbound emails.

If you don't have an Exchange specific AV, take a look at Exclaimer. It
seems to be a popular product among my colleagues.

Good morning, Guys.....

In the middle of an SBS2003 to SBS2008 (in migration mode) migration and
moving mailboxes so I thought that I would take a look in the SBS NG...go
figure!

Anyway, Otto - if you include the version of SBS we might be able to offer
better advise - generally speaking.

Ace is dead on - for EXCH2000 and EXCH2003 Exclaimer has a very good
product. There are a ton of others (lots of AV type apps will do this for
you - as Ace stated). Now, if you have SBS2008 (which comes with EXCH2007)
then you can use the Transport Rules to create an outbound 'disclaimer' |
'signature'.....

HTH,

Cary

..
You're absolutely right. I *assumed* it was SBS 2003. :-)

Just to add, when creating the rule, check the box 'Sent to Inside or
Outside the Organization.' But it shows up as 'Inside'in the rule box, which
has to be clicked on to change it to 'Outside.'

No worries...

Assumptions are usually correct in these news groups (but I guess that
depends on who is doing the assuming!). I am not smart enough to assume so
I ask....

And, hope that things work out for you. Exclaimer should more than do the
trick for you.
