The question should be, "How does a user *not* know this *is* malicious
code?"
Microsoft does not likely know you or even of you. They are not going to
randlomly come to you and ask you to run anything experimental/private.
You may *sign up* for certain things - even beta programs - but those things
will *not* be an attachment in email for many reasons.
It's spam. It's phishing. It's not even *good* phishing/spam.
Erase it and know that Microsoft (nor any other reputable company) will not
come to you out-of-the-blue and ask you to do such things. It's just like
coming to you on the street and asking you to fill out a form with all your
private informatin (identification information, bank account numbers,
signature, etc.) It's a scam.
