Explorer 7 Closes Out Everytime a Site is Closed

I have a new Dell Inspiron 1530 with Vista Home Premium with Internet
Explorer 7. When Explorer opens and I go to a new site, if I close the site,
Explorer shuts down. Is this a software problem, or my lack of knowledge of
how to use Explorer.

Maybe some add on that you have installed that might be causing this? Are
you saying, when you close a site, all your other tabs close out?

I would first start with resetting Internet Explorer 7 settings by going to
Tools > Options > Advanced (tab) > under 'Reset Internet Explorer settings'

How are you "closing" the site? Usually, the way you leave a site is by
going to another.
