Explorer Favorites

I do not seem to be able to save Favorites nor add/rename folders in
Favorites on my laptop. Any ideas?

Thanks for this. However, laptop is new and OS etc was pre-loaded by my
supplier. I have only just obtained the internet link and so was unaware of
the problem.
There seems to be "folder" called Favorites in
C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile which contains some items, but not
any I have tried to save.

Have given up on explorer and moved to FIREFOX which successfully imported my
favotites from IE6.
