Hi,
Since a few weeks the dropdown menus from the menu bar in an explorer window
don't "fold down" right under the clicked item, e.g. "File" but they appear
under the next item -in this case- under "Edit". The same problem also seems
to affect the menu bar in Windows Mail and Internet Explorer. Programmes that
aren't made by Microsoft, like Firefox aren't affected so I suspect it had
something to do with the way the explorer handels with it's menu bar. I'm not
sure what caused it behaving like this. I recently uninstalled Norton
Internet Security 2007 and I know it also had a little bar implemented in the
menu bar but also installing it didn't solve the problem. Hope someone can
help me with this. Maybe this will help a bit: I have an Acer laptop with
Windows Vista Home Premium (well actually it was a Windows XP installation
that was upgraded to Vista when I turned on my laptop for the first time) and
I know there are problems with the Acer eDataSecurity application, I've read
several topics on this forum of people who say their menu bar has totally
disappeared or won't disappear anymore. I uninstalled this apllication long
ago and the problem didn't start then.
