Explorer - single click annoyance

In Explorer if you click a folder (in the left pane) it won't expand unless
you double click it or click the little arrow. This is different from XP
where clicking the folder would expand all the sub-folders. Even if you
turn on single click, it still requires you to double click folders (or
click the little arrow) in the left pane to expand them. Is there a way you
can revert to the XP behaviour?
