How are you saving those emails?
Use the export feature: File, Export, Messages, ...

Your email database may be partially corrupted. Try running the
various repair functions in the WMUtil program:
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil

If no improvement, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
http://download.live.com/wlmail

cleared but when i export my files these 2,000 0 bytes files are still
there. Thank you for your patience

Then the only solution left is my second suggestion (upgrade to WLM).

Suit yourself, but Windows Mail is not supported under Windows 7,
and you never know when your current computer may break down,
requiring you to buy a Windows 7 computer.

You don't want the clear files function. You want the compact and repair
functions in WMUtil. If those buttons are disabled, then you need to end
the Winmail.exe process to use them.

Its not clear where your blank messages are: In your Documents or in
WinMail. If its in Documents, then just delete them.
