Greetings,

Converting the CTT format into CSV isn't too difficult (I have a program of my own that does
the opposite, CSV to CTT even), as it's just text.

Dear all,

I see that the option to export the Hotmail/Messenger contacts is gone. Live
Messenger only lets me save the contacts into a ctt-file, which only
Messenger can read. The more common CSV-format is not available. Does anyone
have any idea how can I export my contacts - eventually into Outlook
Express? Is this obstacle supposed to be a measure to ensure we will have to
use the new Live Mail Desktop? This is very disappointing, because not only
it forces us to use Live Mail Desktop, but it also prevents us from having
the freedom to move to other e-mail services, without having to retype 200
contacts...

I would very much appreciate your assistance.

Hi,

Well one probably doesn't exist for what you want, if there's more interest I'll make one.

If this is just a one-time thing you're doing, just open the CTT file in Notepad, delete all
the extraneous XML tags and just have each passport on its own on each line (like):

etc.

Just about any application should be able to import that.

Thanks for the fast reply!
But since I'm not a programmer, could you please let me know where I could
find such a program? I searched for "converting ctt" but found nothing
relevant.
