exporting windows mail (vista)

keep getting an error messages when trying to save my backup to my usb hard
drive.
I can save to my c drive fine but cannot copy and paste to usb hard drive i
keep getting error message concerning properties of transfer. I am desperate
as I do not want to loose my emails again like when my last hard drive
failed. now I am having to do a reformat because Nortons cannot fix my
problem

You're using Norton to fix a properties problem copying to a usb hard drive ?

Just ignore the warning about losing properties.
It is normal, and is of no consequence.

sorry, I forgot to type the full reason.
I have a security problem that nortons will not fix
so backing up my emails so I can do a clean reinstall of my operating system
