Extending C: drive

I am nervous about extending my C: drive. A wonderful one over on
another forum directed me here.
I have a vista recovery cd.
That said I had earlier taken D: drive and removed all recovery
information.
I shrunk C: to allocate for D:
Dumb move, for some unknown thought at the time, I felt I could
seperate the spaces and it would be more useful.
Its not, so now I want to delete all that I have (which isnt anything
really) and repartition it back to C:
I was given instructions of how to do so, and understand that. What I
am worried about is at this point when I right click on C: there isnt an
extend option, its shaded and unusable, now will that come up a usable
option after I delete D:?
And then I can 'add' the 50G back over to C:?
Im worried as I have already used 'shrink' with C: and that it wont
take the D: back.

Leave it the way it is and put all your data on D. C is for Windows and
for programs. If you ever have to reinstall Windows, you can install it
on the C drive and your data on the D drive will be available. Also, if
your Windows gets screwed, you can set up the drive as a slave on
another computer and salvage your data.

Well I wanna suggest the same...use Vista Retail DVD for furthe
installation in C drive and use your license to activate your Window
Vista .... Becoz your Recovery Disc always format the whole drive

My, that was helpful. Not everyone lives in the USA, asshole, so it's
not Sunday morning everywhere.

Not relevant. Her first post arrived here at 1:39 PM CET and her second
at 2:27 PM CET. Understand now? You do know that Usenet is international
and that different countries have different time zones, right? I replied
to her 16 minutes after she posted her second post.
