I upgraded my Toshiba U205-S5002 laptop from XP Professional to Vista
Business and guess what.....Solitaire is gone. How do I get it back?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi John,

The games are slightly concealed in Business edition (probably to look more
"business-like"), but don't worry: they're still there.

Click on the Start button, and go to Control Panel. Click on Programs and
Features. On the left of the window you'll see "Turn Windows Features On or
Off". Select this option. Accept the UAC prompt. Look down the list of
options to find Games. Place a check next to Games, then click OK.

Tell your co-workers; but, uh, don't tell your boss! :-)

Apparently it didn't seem Business-like, so it was buried.

Click on the Start button, then go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Look to the left for Turn Windows Features On or Off. Click on that. Look
through the listing and and find Games. Place a checkmark next to Games, and
then click OK.

Because the Vista Business edition is, as the name implies,
targeted for businesses, the games are not installed by default. You
can add them: Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows Features On or Off
> Place a check mark in Games.

Yep, sure does look "business-like". Microsoft, always leaving one
scratching ones head.

Except that, in a business those things will likely be disabled by Group
Policy settings.

Once again, Mr Happy is clueless.
