Fail to install WGA Validation Tool (KB892130, error code: 0x8007F

What should I do if I got an error code: 0x8007F004 after the failure of
installing WGA Validation Tool?
This is very urgent, if I cannot install this, I cannot install XP SP3
released on 29th April 2008.

A quick check via the internet finds:

The error code 8007f004 means that the logged in user does not have
sufficient privilidges to install the updates.

Test this WGA diagnose test, connection to MS, that scripts working and a
new Validation tool

You didn't say, or at least it's not clear, whether you tried getting the
updates using Internet Explorer, by going here:

<http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/>

Some new ActiveX software has to be installed on XP before your computer can
be scanned. Just follow the prompts to do so, but it should then list and
download the same updates, and install them, as those you see in the taskbar
notification. If going to the site is successful, keep going back until there
are no more critical updates to install.
