Faild update

I have download more than 90 utades but I can not instllaed those updates
I have repair once my windows is this the problem or what?
I'm very ungry about this I'nt know tha to do. Pleas help me.

I have the same problem. Plus my command window does not accept the commands
outlined in the solution offered at this web page.

The problem defaults to C:\Documents and Settings\ (my name).

I too am angry. I have been struggling with this for three days. I want a Mac.

Re-read instructions - Click Start, select Run.
Browse to the location of the downloaded file and select the file and add
the /wuforce to the end as instructed. When you first select the file the
name is highlighted so you need to clear that then put in a space and type
the /wuforce.

To me it sounds like you're opening a Command Prompt rather than using the
"Run Command".

I was typing a command prompt because that is what Method 1 calls for. I
have also tried Method 2 and it does not work for me either. I checked and
double checked the path name and still I get an error message saying Windows
can not find the file.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update,
from Microsoft Update, or by using Automatic Updates after
you repair a Windows XP installation

(Try it even if you did a clean, not repair, installation.)
(Try it even if you performed some sort of restore - not repair install.)

(Only do below if you actually cannot figure out the simple instructions on
the web page above...)

Get Dial-a-Fix:
http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix

Use its options to fix:
- Windows Installer
- Windows Update
- All the Registration Center options.

Turn off the "Empty System32\Catroot 2"
Do NOT do "Flush SoftwareDistribution".

Then click "GO" and wait until it is done... Reboot will be needed.

- Download/Install Windows Update v3.

http://download.windowsupdate.com/Wi...gent30-x86.exe
(You *may* need to install it using the command line switch "/wuforce"
right after the reboot - immediately after logging in.)

- Download/Install the 927891 patch.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...9-404327772E5A

- Reboot.

- Visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and scan for/install updates.

- Come back and let us know how things went!

Perhaps this makes it clearer -

Save it, do NOT run it. When the download is complete close the browser. Now
run
WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe
IF a message appears stating that the Update Agent is already installed,
then go to Start > Run > click the Browse button
Navigate to where WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe was saved and click once on it
Click the Open button
In the Open: line, click once on WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe
It should now be highlighted in blue
Click once after the last quotation mark "
Push the Space Bar on the keyboard and enter /wuforce
The entry should now look like this

"C:\<locationoffile>\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe" /wuforce

Note the space after the last quotation mark and the /

Click OK or press Enter

Thank you so much!! I have been trying to get this figured out for days now.
This article solved my problem and I have 83 updates running as I type this.

This error is most likely caused by one of the following conditions:

1. The Windows Update Temporary folder is corrupted.
2. Windows Update Agent 3.0 is not installed properly.

We can perform the following steps to troubleshoot this issue. After trying
each suggestion, please go to the Windows Update site to check the result.

NOTE: Some third party programs can also affect the Windows Update service.
If you are running any third party applications such as Spyblocker, Internet
or web accelerators (programs designed to boost the speed of the Internet
connection), security or anti-virus programs (Norton, McAfee, etc.), I
recommend we temporarily disable or shut them down and then try accessing the
Windows Update site later. Please be sure to enable them again after
completing the update process.

Suggestion 1: Clean up Windows Update temporary folder

1. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following

Net stop WuAuServ

2. Click Start, Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.
3. In the open folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to Sdold.
4. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following
command in the open window.

Suggestion 2: Reinstall Windows Update Agent 3.0
======================================
1. Visit the following link and download Windows Update Agent 3.0 to the C:\
(Choose Save, click My Computer on left panel, Click C:\, Click Open and
Click Save)

2. Click Start, Click Run and copy the following command to the panel:

C:\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe /wuforce

Note: There is a space between "C:\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe" and
