failed installation of office update

please could somebody help me to install office updates. i have had office on
my pc for a long time but not used it, i have just tried to install updates
but it fails. i am assuming it is down to a registry key being removed and
have followed the instructions to amend this problem but i can dont have the
registry entry in the computer at all. is there a way of creating an entry
from scratch? i have tried reinstalling office to no avail. the error code is
0x530 but i cant find a way to reference it to see what the problem is. many

What is the context of this error code?

FYI sometimes documentation provides explanations for the decimal
equivalents of the error codes you see displayed in hex. So as well
as searching for that code as you have written it you could be searching
for 0x530 OR 0x00000530 OR 00000530 OR 1328
