Failed intranet/sharepoint installation

On a clean install of SBS 2003 R2 the intranet component repeatedly
fails to install. I have followed many of the older suggestions from
the kb but none have helped (including most of Terence Liu's suggestions).
Below is the errorlog right after a failed attempt.

If this is a new install I would wipe it and start from scratch. It will

Unfortunately I have tried to do a clean install multiple times but continue
to have erros on installing the intranet. This time I actually went looking
for the error log but I couldn't figure out the issue.

Did you wipe the drive before you tried again? How do you start the
install - bootable CD?

Yes, even redid partions and used full NTFS format too. Have tried both the
CDs and the DVD and get the same result.

I'm not sure what is going on. I have seen the occasional hiccup but the
repeated fail on the same spot seems odd.

Because this is an installation issue, you could call MS. The call should be

Thanks. I did try to call and Microsoft said it required payment for this
incident which is total BS ebing it is a new product and an install issue. I
will try again.
