Check you are using the recent build (8.0.0.792) of Windows Live Messenger?

If so, Uninstall it from control panal then reinstall it after.
(Don't reinstall just over it, didnt work with me)

Good luck

Greetings,

Error code 81000314 is actually a server error so this makes sense. Server problems actually
can be rather localized so it's not impossible for one account to work but others not.

Nice to know it is a server error.
But since when does that mean that Messnger cannot be used the entire day?

Hi,

I remember once when the entire service was down for just over a month.

Have you tried logging into the WebMessenger (http://webmessenger.msn.com)? That can
basically prove to you that it's impossible to sign in if the WebMessenger can't.

I tried it, Web Messenger said something like there's too many people logged
in or something.

Thought I'd check round here cos the net access here has been generally
slower so thought it was a possibility that it was that, but after looking
at this thread, probably not.

Hi,

No I'm afraid not, I've been hearing about this problem for hours now.
