Failed Updates

This is a new computer running Win 7 Professional.

Windows Update failed on 34 important updates and I think I know the
reason why.

I was downloading a bunch of updates and had to disconnect, I believe,
when the updates were being installed. I was getting late for work and
not knowing the remaining time to install, I stopped the
updates/installation.

I have a series of questions and hope someone can help me with the
answers.

I have downloaded and installed successfully the SP1 for Win
Professional (KB976932). Does any updates prior to the SP1's date need
not be installed?

In addition to the 34 important updates Windows Update shows that 11
Recommended updates failed to install. However, in the Add/Remove of
Control Panel, it shows that 9 of these 11 Recommended have been
installed. Which is right, Windows Update or the Add/Remove program?

Finally, is there a way to install the remaining upgrades that have
failed through Windows Update? If not do I have to download these
updates to my computer and install them manually. What is the site to
download these Updates?
