Failed Updates Word and Excel

Word Viewer 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3)
Excel Viewer 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3)
Security Update for Word Viewer 2003 (KB943992)
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB947355)
Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel Viewer 2003 (KB943889)
I don't have Word or Excel, Why dose it keep trying to update and how can I
stop it?

Put in your Office 2003 installation media (CD) and try the install again.

But you may have MS Works, Word Viewer, Excel Viewer, and or Office Web
Components installed. If so, you need to install those updates to be
secure.

You have the viewers. Uninstall them and download/install the latest
versions.

All of the updates stem from the installation of the Word and Excel Viewers.
If a disk cleanup tool was run after they were installed, then the
original installation source is no longer present.
If the original installation source was deleted then none of the
Security updates will install.

Uninstall the Word and Excel Viewers via Add/Remove Programs in the
Control Panel since they can *not* be updated and the system is *at risk*.
Then download and install either the same Versions of the viewers or the
latest Versions from the MS Download Center and DO NOT delete the
original installation source nor allow a disk cleanup tool to delete them.

Enter ' Excel Viewer ' and ' Word Viewer ' in the Search field.
Click 'Release Date' to order the downloads by the most recent date.
