Fails when syncing Attachments

I'm running windows xp on my laptop with the newest version of activesync.
It syncs perfectly to my ipaq running windows 2002.
But if i set it to sync the attachments for all my emails it just freezes up
half way through syncing. Any idea why this would be? Is it because theres
not enough memory on my ipaq?

I added a 128meg memory stick, but it shows up as not being in use at all?

Any help appreciated.

Hi,
It could be a problem with an attachment that cannot be converted. Try
moving all the e-mail to another folder and then sync and then move them
back until you find the offending message.

I have the same problem...
After several experiments it appears that the problematic files are Office (Word) files with embedded images in it.
If there is a Word file with any embedded object in it (including image) - ActiveSync will freeze...

So far the resolution for me is to turn off the image sync option - from ActiveSync->Options->Rules->Conversion Settings->Desktop to Device-> Microsoft Word Document... in the "Edit" conversion type dialog choose "No conversion"

This doesn't solve completely the problem because you won't have images in pocket Word, but at least you will be able to sync!
