failure to install kb908519, kb911567, kb911562,

We had a server running Win2k Server that was infected with a trojan. We
cleaned out the trojan, then did an in-place reinstall of Win2k Server
(because Windows wasn't working quite right any more), and then reapplied the
various service packs and hotfixes. We got to these three last hotfixes, but
cannot get them to install. There is no error message, they just keep
failing. Any suggestions?

In respect of 911562, the currently installed version number and service
pack of MDAC might be relevant.

A fair question, although I didn't focus on the mdac because there were
three updates that failed and the other two aren't related to mdac. Anyway,
what's the easiest way to find the installed version number and service pack
for mdac?

Hmmm. I'm not sure that this patch would apply to that version. With other
installations, it has been reported that this patch will not install until
MDAC 2.8 SP1 was installed. But I'm not sure that 2.8 SP1 is supported in
W2K.
