Failure to mount 2Gb storage devices

Hi all!

I have run into a problem as of late where I cannot mount any FAT-formatted
storage devices greater than 2Gb via the USB port. In one case, I had
intended to mount a USB external hard drive that was formatted "out of the
box" as a FAT32 but was required to re-format it as an NTFS format.

As well, I couldn't mount SD cards, including miniSD cards unless they were
1Gb or below. Typical behaviour would be in the form of the volume not being
mounted at all or me being asked to format the volume to NTFS.

What should I do to rectify this problem and is it feasible that the problem
could be rectified in the SP1 delivery. I have also had similar behaviour
with a notebook that is running Windows XP SP2.

With regards,

Simon Mackay
