It fanally worked

I posted here a few days ago complaining about my SP2
download staying at 0%. It finally downloaded and that
annoying icon in the taskbar went away. For reasons
unknown, today I went to windows update and SP2 was there
as a choce.

I downloaded it and installed it with no trouble and it
now works perfectly. The only slight problem is that it
takes about 10 seconds longer for the computer to
completely on but that doesn't bother me.
All my programs work exactly the same as before. The 0%
issue must have just been an update glitch.

If you're having problems, just go to windows update and
see if it's there for download.

Several things:
SP2 automatically turns the XP Firewall on. If you have another one running,
as many do (I have Nortons Firewall), turn one of them off. Go to Outlook
Express/Tools/Options/Security Tab/Be certain that "Warn me when other
applications try to, etc," contains a check mark; plus if you want to
receive and open attachments, remove the check mark from "Do not allow
attachments to be saved or opened, etc,".
